Since the corona virus pandemic started in Nigeria last year, most pastors have come out to air their views concerning the virus, most of which had a religious rather than scientific approach, thus making them unprovable and unreliable.
Pastor Chris Oyahkilome was one amongst the most vibrant opposer of the reality and authenticity of the covid-19 pandemic, and the response of world government to it.
On numerous occasions, his TV Station; love world broadcasting network was reported to have been spreading inaccurate claims about the virus, which could inevitably harm the populace.
Among such claims includes statements insinuating that the pandemic was a planned event,created by a group of people to Foster the interest of the devil and the end time.
Another statement claimed that the tests being carried out were fraudulent and deceptive, a means of spreading fear amongst the public as regarding the authenticity and potency of the virus.
Another recorded statement issued by Pastor Chris Oyahkilome, that according to the office of communication (OFCOM) of the UK broadcasting regulatory authority, was spreading misinformation, was the claim that the covid-19 vaccine contained nano chips which were potentially harmful to people.
These claims according to OFCOM, did not provide adequate protecting for viewer, this leading the regulatory authority to issue out a fine of £125,000 to the television network.
Such action they claimed would dissuade the church from spreading misinformation and propaganda that could possibly rule the public.
