The Leader of the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association, Reverend Uma Ukpai has narrated how a man who sponsored their crusade many years ago in Maiduguri became rich. After the crusade, he prayed that God will make the young man prosper but he rejected the prayer, saying he does not want to be rich so armed robbers won’t disturb him.
The man met someone who offered him a contract worth 250 million naira when he was travelling to Abuja. He replied to the young man saying he does not want to be rich. The man he met on the way to Abuja insisted and drove him to the office. The papers were signed and the man became wealthy.
In the video, Rev. Ukpai said: “We had a big crusade many years ago in Maiduguri and a young man singlehandedly sponsored it. The day we rounded up, I asked him to kneel for prayers. I prayed that God will make him prosper but he rejected it, saying that he does not want to be a rich man. His reason was that he does not want armed robbers to attack him.
“On his way to Abuja, a young man from his village offered him a contract worth 250 million naira and asked him to come to the office to sign it. He told the man that he does not want to be rich. The man told him he has been praying for the young men from his village to be wealthy and that he is driving him straight to the office to sign the papers. Today, he is a rich man”.
