During the Covenant Hour of Prayer meeting today, Bishop David Oyedepo led the congregation in a prayer to silence the mouths of vain talkers and naysayers, who try to discourage people from coming to church. He shared the experience of a woman who narrated how she was almost discouraged from attending.
According to him, a man told this woman not to attend his church because they collect money from people before they can seat down in the church.
“After the woman came, first day, nobody collected money from her, second day, nobody collected money from her, she went back to the man and told him ‘I thought you said they collect money per seat.’ And the man told her it’s a matter of time,” the Bishop said as the congregation burst into laughter.
He revealed that people, who are now members of the church, have revealed that other people discouraged them from coming, accusing the church of being traditionalists.
