The commitment of God about marriage is a natural phenomenon that every individual aspires to fulfil in life. No matter the level of anyone in society, marriage is an integral part of the aspirations that are set above every other move for success. Marriage is seen from the perspective of prominence. This is so because God has made it a mandatory but also “optional” achievement, for everyone. Since it is His covenant that all human beings should multiply and fill, and subdue the earth. Marriage is a great mission that every average human being wishes to fulfil before leaving the earth.
How to get the right person to be married to is still a major concern when it comes to marriage. The Lord Jesus Christ has laid the foundation of how it should be done. In that, it is a man that would “find” a wife. But, it has now become a standing order, it is as such, naturalized that, only a man could approach a woman for marriage. This is being debated in the contemporary world as in that, it should also be possible, the other way round.
Evangelism is a very important factor in Christianity. It is through evangelism that souls are converted to the kingdom of God. In respect of this, and also with the view of the aforementioned topics on marriage, Dr Paul Eneche of the Dunamis Church in one of his sermons has narrated how the daughter of the assistant to the presiding Bishop of Winners Chapel Church, Bishop David Abioye met her husband. It was during an evangelism outreach. He narrated that, she was a lady gainfully employed but still believing God for her spouse. Mindless of that, she had taken to the streets to propagate the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The would-be husband also was a vibrant Christian who is on fire for the Lord Jesus Christ. He was approached by Bishop Abioye’s daughter and handed a tract. She invited him to their church(Winners Chapel Church) for a programme. He honoured the invitation, and before you know it, he also honoured another invitation to visit her at home. That was how their journey to marital bliss began.
Evangelism is a tool that does not only win the soul for Christ to the gain of heaven but also benefits the preacher. Whatever a believer does to win a soul to the kingdom of heaven, s/he also would be blessed abundantly as a result of the action taken in the love of the gospel. God has a way of blessing his people. He does not wait for anyone to dictate to Him. He has already preset the divine blessings of every believer on the paths of righteousness and the paths of their services in the things of God
