How Can I Win This Battle Against Satan?

When taking against Satan, what information is essential to have at my disposal?

Right now, I feel like I’m engaged in a spiritual fight. How can I best combat Satan, and what should I keep in mind while doing so?

The Bible teaches us that as God’s children, we engage in a spiritual combat against the wicked one. As an old soldier, I’m happy to provide you a rundown of important lessons to remember in your struggle against Satan. I pray that these words of wisdom and inspiration may aid you in your fight:

Because our battle is not with mortal beings but with the rulers, authorities, powers of this dark world, and spiritual forces of evil in the upper realms. [Ephesians 6:12]

  1. The Existence of Demons Cannot Be Denied!

At the very least, Jesus, Paul, and Peter all said they did. They battled several mental and emotional spiritual fights with various temptations and tests:

We wanted to see you—I, Paul, tried many times—but Satan stood in our way each time. One Thessalonians 2:18

We may be part of the global community, but we do not fight in the same way that the rest of the world does. No. 4 We don’t use the same weapons as everyone else. Contrarily, they may destroy fortresses through divine intervention. In 2 Corinthians 10:3–4

It may come as a surprise to learn that the demons Jesus confronted in the first century are still active today.

It’s very uncommon for people in the developing world to see manifestations and infiltrations similar to those Jesus, Peter, and Paul faced. Verify this with some of your missionary pals.

The question arises, however, as to why such behavior is seldom seen in the United States.

There are two parts to the answer to this question. To begin, a great deal of Satanic activity is covert. Second, Satan has America so submerged in consumerism that he does not need to use his heavy weapons.

  1. Satan’s primary weapon in his war against Christians is deception. Beware!

Consider this. Eve was without fault prior to the Fall.

What hope do the rest of us flawed humans have if even flawless Eve was tricked into eating the fruit? (Refer to the first six verses of Genesis and the first four verses of 1 Corinthians 11 for further information.)

The odds are in our favor, thankfully. God equips us with the resources we need to resist falling for lies.

To begin, we may ensure that our plans are consistent with God’s word by reading it over as we are ready to take action. Then, when we pray and ask God for direction, He will answer us. Solomon concludes by saying that a group of wise advisors may accomplish great things. If you want to be sure you aren’t being duped, it’s a good idea to get the opinion of some godly individuals.

Praying hands on the table

  1. Accept the Fact That There Are Three Types of Christians

Knowing your “class” is crucial in the battle against Satan.

Type 1: Refusing to Give Up and Get Duped

These believers have not yet made Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior in every aspect of their life. But they continue to believe that God is the source of all things spiritual.

Type 2: Gave In or Was Duped

Even though they have given their life up to Christ completely, some Christians attribute all spirituality to the divine.

Third-Class: Those Who Have Given Up and Cannot Be Duped

These believers have given their life to Christ and know that not all spirituality comes from God.

  1. If a Christian is possessed, does that mean anything? Can One Be Oppressed While Being a Christian? You might say both yes and no.

Let’s define certain terminology for the sake of clarity.

Neither “demonic oppression” nor “demonic possession” are found anywhere in the Bible. The Greek word “demonized” is used to depict fights between demons.

Everything in our life that is not “filled” with the Holy Spirit has been “demonized,” leaving it vulnerable to the influence of evil forces.

It was for this reason that the Apostle Paul repeatedly warned Christians to stand alert against the devil and his minions. If Christians don’t take precautions, they might be assaulted and ultimately destroyed (see 1 Peter 5:8; John 10:10; 2 Corinthians 11:13-15; 1 Thessalonians 2:17-18).

They’ll eventually come to their senses and free themselves from the devil’s clutches. Two Timothy 2:26

You are from God, and you have triumphed over them, little ones, because the Holy Spirit dwelling inside you is stronger than the one dwelling in the world. (1 John 4:4).

  1. A Spiritual Generation of Young Men and Women Have Defeated the “Evil One” (1 John 2:12, 14)

One may go through several stages of spiritual development. Teenagers and twenty-somethings are in between spiritual infants and fully grown adults. The capacity to vanquish the bad guy is a hallmark of this stage.

To “conquer the wicked one” encompasses a wide range of concepts. First, it means we may defend ourselves against his assaults without fear of being duped. We are able to view them for what they really are. Then, we may engage Satan in direct demonic confrontations.

I was giving guidance to an old grandma who had dabbled in satanic spiritism. She had an out-of-body experience and was afraid, but others showed her how to pray to get a “spirit guide.” The narrator needed assistance.

I was at a loss for words. I was a spiritual infant at the time, and I had no idea how to win such a fight against the devil.

They’re going to murder me, she said again and over.

I enquired, “Who are they?” to clarify.

Her response was, “The ghosts.”

Finally, I got her to calm down, and I prayed that whatever evil spirit was after her would be bound so that it could no longer harm her. From what I’ve learned, that’s the most effective prayer. This was her exit.

I found out the following morning from her daughter that her mother had died after slipping in the bathroom, hitting her head on the water faucet.

Three days later, I officiated her funeral.

If you have accepted Christ as your personal Savior, you have eternal security. Spiritual warfare is not something you would ever partake in. However, the afterlife is very much real. As your faith strengthens, you’ll be able to aid others you come across who are suffering under the influence of evil spirits.

The greatest method to assist someone who has been demonized in a certain area is to commit to a long-term discipleship program. Remember that every spiritual assault is a prayer initiative.

  1. So, What Exactly Does It Mean to Be “Taken Captive” by the Enemy?

Pray… that they would realize they’ve been duped by the devil and break free from his clutches. Two Timothy 2:26

Christians who engage in immorality, illegal activities, or apostasy are operating outside the boundaries and on Satan’s turf. These believers in Christ are easy prey. Satan may utilize them in horrifying ways, such as slavery, confusion, and trapping. They lose all value to God’s kingdom.

Avoid giving the devil any room to work with. [Ephesians 4:27]

  1. Whoever Wins the War for Our Brains Will Rule the World.

Paul urges Christians to “bring captive every thought” to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).

As we mature in our relationship with God, He desires that we exercise dominion over our thoughts. The Holy Spirit desires our independence so that we may readily accept his leading and experience the “rich life” He promised in John 10:10.

Even while the Holy Spirit may guide and lead, He cannot rule. In order to receive His love and guidance, we must be willing to let Him in.

In contrast, Satan is overjoyed at the prospect of dominating our minds. To be free in Christ and to choose God’s path is the essence of spiritual warfare. It is the goal of Satan’s schemes and attacks to subjugate our minds so that he may accomplish evil through us.

  1. Steer Clear of Portals That Could Take You Out of This World

Paul listed many of these vectors, including: personal invitation, everlasting sin, narcotics and drink, transference from one person to another, belief in falsehoods, and the use of occult rituals like Ouija boards and spiritism.

4 Reasons Why You're Still Starving in Your spiritual life

In Deuteronomy 18:9–12, God lists a variety of satanic rituals.

Do not adopt the abominable customs of the people who inhabit the land the Lord your God is giving you. Do not have anybody living among you who participates in child sacrifice, divination, sorcery, omen reading, witchcraft, spell casting, consulting the dead, or interpreting omens. The Lord hates anybody who acts this way, and it’s for this reason that the Lord your God will remove those countries from your path.

  1. Refuse to give in to the devil, and he will eventually leave you alone if you’ll only submit to God (James 4:7)

Submitting to God is the primary method God use to deliver us from whatever sin we may be battling. We start by admitting our guilt and making amends. If we are set free, we will recognize that this was a sin committed by the body and not the spirit.

However, if after accepting Christ as Lord and Savior we still struggle with this sin, we know that it is a “sin of the spirit” and that we must engage in spiritual battle in order to be set free.

Then we started using the verse’s last segment. Jesus Christ’s resurrected authority inside us allows us to speak truth to the devil and his falsehoods, and then to command that he leave us alone.

  1. Use this as a daily reminder to put on your spiritual armor (Ephesians 6:13-17)

Therefore, equip yourself with the complete armor of God so that you can resist evil and stay strong when the time comes. Take a firm stance, having fastened the belt of truth around your waist, having fastened the breastplate of righteousness over your heart, and having shod your feet with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. Moreover, pick up the shield of faith, which will put out the fires of the devil’s darts. Put on the salvation shield and arm yourself with the word of God, the sword of the Spirit.

I make an effort to not go out into the world emotionally or mentally unprepared. I hope these seven things will all play a major role in my life today.

Finally, I want to stress the importance of telling others about how you came to believe in and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their witness, and you and I have been entrusted with the same task (Revelation 12:14).

Thanks for reading, and I really do hope this is useful. I pray that God gives you strength in your spirit to defeat the devil.
