How Christians Disrespect God During Church Services

There are many things we do as Christians that do not make God happy and do we act as if we don’t know that we could be punished for them. There are many things we do in the presence of God that we cannot do in the presence of our president and we need to check our life and be careful of doing such a thing. However, here are 3 ways some Christians make God unhappy

1. They Go Late To Church

In Psalm 122:1, the Bible says:

“A Song of degrees of David. I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.”

When you are happy to go house of God, you will definitely not go late. Lateness is now becoming a very disturbing issue in most churches today. Christians have decided to make it a usual habit despite the fact that their Pastors preaches against it. When you go late to church, it simply means that God is not important to you. Many people will be punctual to their place of work but when it comes to the things of God, they relax.

2. They Sleep While The Preaching Is Going On

In 1 Thessalonians 5:6, the Bible says:

“So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober”

Whether literal or figurative sleep, It is very disrespectful for you to be sleeping when the man of God is ministering. It simply shows that you don’t have regards for what God is saying through him. They don’t have regards for the word of God and the allow their flesh to control them. The ushers try to wake them up but they remain adamant and continue sleeping. These category of people go to church just to fulfill all righteousness.

3. They Dress Ungodly

In 2 Timothy 2: 9, the Bible says:

“In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array”

We are to wear clothes that cover our nakedness but unfortunately, reverse is the case. How will you dress half naked to the church on Sunday? The church is God’s holy sanctuary and we are not meant to disrespect God. God frowns at indecent dressing in his presence and as Christians, the main reason why we go to church on Sunday is not to show our possessions, it is just to worship God. You need to caution how you dress to the house of God. It is very important.
