How God Arrested Me Through Pastor Chris Oyakhilome – Sinach

Veteran Nigerian Gospel minister Osinachi Kalu Okoro Egbu, popularly known as Sinach, reveals how God arrested her through Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.

Sometimes in 1989, Sinach gave her life to Christ in one of Chris Embassy Church in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. After Sinach joining Christ Embassy, her faith got reignited and she rejoined the choir. Her intent and dedication to singing for God were reignited once again.

In 1993, Sinach started listening to Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and in 1994, she met him for the first time after she caught his attention by delivering a spectacular performance in church.

In a recent interview with the music editor of Pulse Nigeria, Motolani Alake, the ” Way Maker ” singer open ups on how her encounter with Pastor Chris changed her everything for her music career journey.

God arrested me through my Pastor [Chris Oyakhilome], who was like ‘You have a ministry here,’ [laughs],” she jokes. “I didn’t even realize, but he told me that when I sang, it was like ‘BOOM!’”

I loved singing and still love singing. My pastor also told me that I was special and it felt really good. For some reason, I felt like God was speaking to me,” she continues. “It wasn’t like money would grow on trees, fall down and I would pack my share and send home [laughs]. So, I was redirected from travelling out and I’m glad that I was – I feel fulfilled, but hungry.”
