Pastor David Ibiyeomie, the founder and senior pastor of Salvation Ministries told the story of how a politician came to him for prayers. Though many politicians go to pastors for prayer, the man of God seems not to be interested in that.
He revealed that a politician came to him and asked for prayers. He was holding a magazine and said “Pray for me to serve God.” The man of God then told him that he won’t pray. He asked him, “Do I pray for you to go for your political party meetings?” The politician however persisted and asked the man to pray for him so that he can serve God. Pastor David replied, “I am not praying. do they pray for party meetings?”
Speaking further, he said Politicians often fix their meetings to midnight. They wake up at midnight and perform any act they want to perform. They don’t do their meetings during the day. He said that it is only the upcoming politicians that hold their meetings during the day, the real politicians hold their meetings at midnight. According to him, that is where they rig elections. “Election is not rigged in the daytime, it is rigged in the night, they won’t sleep, they go about permutating,” he said.
