Apostle Johnson Suleman, founder and senior pastor of Omega Fire Ministries, has in a live videoprogram of his open crusade in Uyo, disclosed what he said in an interview in 1997 about pastors buying jets.
The cleric narrated his story when he was sharing with his members why they should not criticize anybody until they are in that person’s position.
He said he was interviewed in 1997 about pastors buying jets. He said he was very upset and he said that why will a pastor buy Jets when he has members in the church who are suffering and members who can not feed. He said he frankly spoke against it.
He said that during that period, a notable man of God just bought a jet, but he forgot and the media carried it that he spoke against the man of God.
Apostle Suleman stated that in 2015, he was at the airport. He was to preach in Indonesia and he bought the ticket and missed the flight. He said he bought another one and still missed the flight. He bought another one, his flight was cancelled, and he bought the last one.
They told him the time, and it was the evening of the program’s closing.
He said he missed 3–4 flights, and he sat down and the holy spirit asked him, is a private jet good? And he said yes. He added that the holy spirit told him that his problem is people extorting members to buy jets and not when they are given to them as a gift.
