Popular Magazine Publisher and author, Betty Irabor has recently opened up about how she almost committed suicide.
Speaking in a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, Betty Irabor talked about how she almost committed suicide by taking antidepressants. She narrated that on that faithful day, she waited for her husband to go to church so that she could do what she wanted to do but luckily for her, he didn’t go that faithful day. She explained how he saved her from killing herself that day.
“That day, I woke up in the morning and I was expecting my husband to go to church so I could do what I needed to do and he was in my way. When he didn’t go to church, I grabbed the bottle of antidepressants and ran into the bathroom. Looking back, the antidepressant count have killed me, or maybe not but right there, I was like anything. I was very happy that he came after me. He put his leg so I could not close the door. As I tried to take the pills, I was happy that he was in time to slap it off. I just broke down.”
Speaking further, Betty Irabor also narrated what caused her to commit suicide and how she feels after the incident. She said at that time she was down mentally and she needed help but now, she is doing better. According to her, when she wakes up in the morning, she feels better. She said she is happier and in control of her life.
Betty Irabor also advised other people who are having issues. She urged that anybody who is not in a good place should speak out. She said nobody should be afraid to live his or her best life irrespective of what other people say.
