Her spouse has complete faith in her. She spends her entire life bringing him good, not harm (Proverbs 31:11, 12).

The mayor of a town was strolling down the main street with his wife one bright afternoon. He proudly listed all the developments that had taken place since he had assumed office as they strolled.

He was astonished when a worker shouted out and greeted his wife as they were passing a building site. He had been her boyfriend in high school, she said.

The mayor added to his wife, “See, honey, if you had married him, you would be the wife of a worker,” as he turned to face her. No, honey,” she politely said. “He would be the mayor if I had married him,” she said.

It is real. Husbands are greatly influenced by their wives. The wife is thought to have the power to make or break her spouse. Even though we frequently don’t feel like we are doing anything, we actually are. ““Wives would be proud if they understood how much influence women had,” someone once stated. Men would be so terrified if they knew.

How then may wives leverage their power to raise their husbands’ sense of self-worth? (By self-esteem, I mean how you think of yourself, how you feel about yourself, and how valuable or deserving you feel within.)
Some spouses have offered sensible solutions. Why not give some of them a try?

  1. Pray for him.
  2. Give verbal and written words of encouragement: “You handled that wisely.” ” I love being married to you.”
  3. Express confidence.
  4. Be loyal. Loyalty builds confidence.
  5. Compliment the little things he does
    — in front of others and privately.
    Mark Twain said, “I can live two
    months on a good compliment.”
  6. Make his favorite meals.
  7. Be an available and active lover.
  8. Remind him of his personal strengths and accomplishments.
  9. Respect and admire him .
  10. Take responsibilities seriously and
    carry them out.
  11. Ruth Graham said, “It is not up to me to change my husband: that is up to God. My job is to keep him happy.”
