How To Call On God In The Day Of Trouble As Christians

As Christians, Calling on God in the day of trouble is the best thing we do as Christians or believers. But what many do not understand is that we do not have to wait till the trouble comes before we run to him (God) for help.

Imagine as a person, your friend only run to you whenever they are stuck or in a deliema, how will you feel? Tho our God is a merciful God but we must not take his mercifulness for granted.

Calling on God in the day of trouble as Christians shows that we are far away from him because the bible says “He (God) will deliver us in the day of trouble” Psalm 50:15. So there’s no point calling on him of he already promised us He will deliver us in the day of trouble as long as we follow his commandments and we are not far away from Him.

Let me guide you through some steps on how to call on God in the day of trouble and how to overcome the trouble even before they arise.

1. Pray without ceasing: “Pray without ceasing,” Paul said; “in everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit.” (1 Thes. 5:17–19.). Prayer must become a lifestyle as Christians.

Do not wait till trouble starts knocking before you call upon him. And do prayer becomes our lifestyle? By reading the WORD (Bible) until it becomes a part of us.

2. Keep thanking God for his mercy and grace over your life: Every minute, hour and daily we must return all the praise and glory back to him because it is by his grace we are not consumed, smarter people than us are gone (dead). Lamentations 3:22.says: “Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not”.

3. Keep doing Good: This is one of the surest plug to stay out of trouble in this life. Doing good to others without wanting anything back from them is what God expects from us as believers.

Doing all these 3 things accordingly will surely help us in the day of trouble. I hope we read and digest the tips accordingly.
