Humble Men of God: Photos Of 4 Nigerian Pastors Who Have Visited Buhari In Aso Rock

In our society, we have come to see politics as a dirty game, a game that no man of integrity should be associated with. And anyone who is seen frolicking with any politician is immediately seen as a compromised fellow.

The situation is even worse in Christendom, as most Christians have come to view politics as a game meant for worldly people. I understand the stigma that follows those pastors who have been seen with some top politicians in the country. Most people consider those pastors as sell-outs.

And in some cases, some pastors are always at loggerheads with the president, especially when they feel that the laws of the state are not encouraging the processes of Christianity in the country. We have seen instances of some of these pastors criticizing the president from their pulpits and on media, over what they felt was oppression from the system.

And President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration appears to be one of the most criticized administrations in Nigeria’s history, and many Christians have learned to bring religious sentiments into play when discussing his matter. Many of them believe that being a Muslim, he is always implementing laws that are not favorable to the Christians.

But in the midst of all these tensions between the church and the government, there are still some pastors among the fold who have never been caught in that web of conflict.

Somehow, these men of God have wormed their ways into the heart of the President because of their humility. Hardly have we ever seen them criticizing Buhari on media, rather we have seen them in Aso Rock Presidential Villa with the President discussing serious matters.

These men of God have demonstrated that with humility one can make his way into the palace and dine with kings. It is not every pastor in Nigeria that has had such privileges, but the exemplary character of these men of God has earned them the respect of the President.

In this article, we are going to show photos of some of those humble men of God.

1. Pastor Enoch Adeboye with President Buhari in Aso Rock on different occasions.

Yesterday, Pastor Adeboye paid a visit to the President, where he had a closed-door meeting with him. The details of their meeting were not made known to the public, but it was suspected to be related to the CAMA that President Buhari recently signed into law.

Yesterday isn’t the first time that the President has visited Buhari in Aso Rock. Look at photos of his past visit to the villa to see him.

Pastor Adeboye seems to have a really good relationship with him. In 2017, when the President was flown to London for treatment, Pastor Adeboye paid him a visit there to see how the President was fairing.

2. Reverend Fr. Mbaka with Buhari.

Father Mbaka, Spiritual Leader of Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry in Enugu, is one man of God that has come under heavy criticisms from the public, because of his strong relationship with the President and other political leaders.

Just like I mentioned above, a lot of people believe that it is not ideal for Christian leaders to be associated with political leaders.

In 2015, Mbaka was in the villa to see President Buhari. After the visit, he released a statement saying that the visit was scriptural.

3. Pastor Tunde Bakare in Aso Rock with Buhari.

Pastor Tunder Bakare, the Senior Pastor of Latter Rain Assembly, started enjoying President Buhari’s friendship right from when he entered office. After Buhari’s victory at the polls, he visited him to congratulate him on his victory.

After that, he had paid a visit to the President again a couple of times. According to a report made by Punch, he was in Aso Rock on July 13th, 2018, to see Buhari, where they had a closed-door meeting.

After the meeting, Bakare released a statement saying that the meeting was to thank the President for personally sending a delegation to his home-going celebration. So you can see that the duo has a really good relationship going.

4. Pastor W. F. Kumuyi and his wife with the President in Aso Rock.

On October 1st, 2018, Pastor Kumuyi, General Overseer of Deeper Life Bible Church, visited the President in the villa. Apart from the visit, he also delivered a sermon at the 58th independence anniversary. He was with his wife, Pastor Chike Onwuasoanya. See photos below:

These men of God have proven that you don’t have to fight the government before you pass across your message to them.

The Church does not need to put themselves at war with the government, because at the end of the day, the church is still under the influence of the government. And I hope other men of God in the country can learn from the examples of these humble men of God.

What are your opinions on this? Do you think it is a good thing for some Christian leaders to be at war with the government? Or do you think it is a good idea for Christian leaders to be associated with political leaders?
