Reverend Father Kelvin Ugwu, in a recent post on his official Facebook page, sends an important message to Christians directly.
He said that some of you Christians don’t know that Christ has freed you from all those shackles you have chained yourselves with. Some of you Christians don’t know that once you are born of the Water and Spirit, you are totally a new creation and that none of those things you attribute powers to is actually powerful.
This is why you still believe that there is one curse in your village following you. You even call it generational curses and it is often the reason why you are poor and not the reason why another is wealthy.
According to him, this is why some of you will bear the name Christian and be found on a page dedicated to Ogbanjes and Mami waters, and be shamelessly seeking for one fortification and one bead or the other. Your problem is ignorance garnished with poverty. It is the love of giveaway that is giving you a way to the devil.
“Sometimes, I feel like saying: “God, please punish poverty!” he concluded.
Finally, it is important to believe that Christ has died for us and nothing should fear or scare us. As long as you’re giving your life to Christ then you should have nothing to fear because they will never leave nor forsake you. God will help us in Jesus’ name.
