Bishop David Oyedepo, the General Overseer of the Living Faith Church Worldwide spoke 1st Service, Faith Tabernacle. It was the Special Monthly Anointing Service and he revealed that God’s plan for our lives is in his book; His visions are the unveiling of His plan and purpose as it relates to us. It is only unto us who are born again that the Book is opened, when we are willing to learn. Anybody can understand God if he is willing to learn.
He talked about God’s plan for commanding us to fast. He said that it is a commandment and read the book of Matthew 6:17-18 which says; “When ye fast”, shut thy door and your Father who sees you in secret will reward you openly.” He said that the prayer behind the scene is far more powerful than the public prayer. Speaking further, he said that he went to the mountain to pray between, December 1982 and January 1983 with one prayer point, “Lord, disconnect me from those who are going backwards. Connect only to those who are going forward. Hear me Lord.” According to him, he does not have one single unbeliever as a friend. “There is no way we can cope,” he said. He said that he does not have one friend that has no passion for God and he will never have.
Finally, he claimed that behind the scene prayer has far more impact. But if someone pray aloud in the Church, but his prayer life empty behind, it won’t work.
