Many worshippers lost their lives on Sunday afternoon in the St Francis Xavier Church Owo, Ondo State as suspected bandits invaded the church and opened fire on the members.
According to Vanguard, over 25 people, including Children and women reportedly died during the attack, with many suffering big injuries in the process.
However, a few minutes after the attack, one of the Church members(with Twitter handle- @Gowel) who claimed to have been present in the church during the attack, took to Twitter to announce the sad news, and also narrated his experience during the incident, concluding in his comment that he does not know how he is still alive.
“It’s my church. I was right there. Lying down holding mum’s hands. She was saying her final prayers and I was thinking this is it.
“A little girl in front of me, I saw her brains,” @Gowel narrated.
