Rev. Funke Felix Adejumo, the president of Funke Felix Adejumo Foundation, has a great passion for womanhood and the divine purpose of ‘Honoring God and Blessing Humanity.’ In one of her recent impactful women programs, she gave rigid advice on how women should treat their husbands. She spoke on reasons why they need to emerge and give peace to their husbands.
She said that many women would have emerged preaching everywhere and even prosperous but they should try to ensure that they don’t struggle with their husbands. “If you struggle with your husband, your skirt will tear,” she said. She said that her number one calling before is Felix Adejumo (her husband). She said that some years ago, in the place of prayer, she promised God that she would so much stand for her husband and that if he fails, He should hold her responsible.
She further revealed that by the grace of God she has traveled around the world preaching the gospel but the Lord decided to lead her to open one secret aspect of her life to her numbers. She said that she never planned to be a pastor, but she wanted to go into politics instead. “I made up my mind that we will steal money. I said that I will have a Ph.D. in political science and we will go there to steal money,” she said. But, after her School certificate Examination in 1978, she met the Lord Jesus Christ.
She met her husband at 19 but wasn’t comfortable when he became a Pastor. “I began to give him problems and challenges in ministry. He couldn’t hug any lady. But he is a gift of God to me,” she said. She said that it went on for some time until one day, she had an encounter with the Lord. The Lord asked her how she will like her funeral service to look like and she began to bind and cast the Devil. “The Lord said to me,’ it is I your father, not the Devil because you are troubling and distracting your Zechariah’,” she said. She said that the Lord told her that He is planning to get him another wife who will allow him to fulfill “My purpose, who will take care of your children and you will not be missed.” She then revealed that her head became correct immediately.
“Give your Zechariah peace if you want to emerge,” she advised them. She then revealed that she became lost in her husband’s ministry and vision and she became digested in him. She then decided to add Felix to her name so that people will know that her husband own her. She would go to church to sweep and would wake him up in the night to tell him that she loves him. “By God’s grace, my husband is established in ministry, he is a great success and I am grateful to the Lord for him. I can’t imagine my life without that man,” she said.
