I wept when I listened to Barack Obama’s speech – Bishop David Oyedepo Reveals
Bishop David Oyedepo is the Founder and President of Living Faith Church Worldwide (also known as Winners Chapel). Bishop Oyedepo is renowned for his faith-filled teachings and the results he has been able to command. In a recent video posted on YouTube (which I watched before writing this article, the popular cleric described how he felt when he listened to the former president of the United States, Barack Obama speech.
The Bishop stated that whatever happens in your life is permitted by you and that whether you fail or succeed in life is your choice. He not that all the empowered people he had met in his life are bookworms and addicted learners.
Speaking further in the video, Bishop Oyedepo specifically cited the former president of the United States, Barack Obama, and said that the secret of Obama’s empowerment was not money but his wits. In Bishop’s words:
“I have shed tears listening to Barack Obama because he is a fountain of knowledge, he knows the American nation more than the founders, and that it was the insight that empowered Barack Obama to the throne, not money.”

Oyedepo noted that Obama’s speeches are loaded with great insights and wits. He further advised that one needs to be loaded with great insight to enhance and command authority in your field.
I think what Bishop Oyedepo is saying, in essence, is that we need to learn from Obama and go after relevant knowledge, especially in our chosen field because it takes knowledge and great insight to be empowered, and command authority in a chosen field or career. It’s good to learn from great men who have achieved great things in life. I think Obama was able to achieve his goals because of the knowledge he acquired and the insight he had. So, anybody can be great in life if the right principles are applied and followed.
