Marriage advise
Bishop David Abioye has advised Christian women that if anyone comes to ask for their hands in marriage, they should accept before another woman snatches the man.
He said this during his sermon during the Covenant Day Of Marital Breakthrough, as he addressed the issues that prevent people from getting married and enjoying marital bliss.
He declared that he wasn’t talking about carnality, and if you are a Christian, the Holy Spirit in you will bear witness about the man you are supposed to get married to, and if the witness is there, then you should accept at once.
“Don’t say ‘Oh it will make me look cheap’. Hold him now before another person snatches him,” he said as the congregation burst into cheers.
I believe he has a point though. What’s the point waiting and playing hard to get, when you are sure that there is nothing wrong in marrying the brother?
However, there should be a balance. You should only do this if you are very sure of the Holy Spirit’s leadership. Marriage is not something you hastily enter. If you do, you might regret it.
