One of the most common attitudes of people that pass through trying times, most especially believers that wait on the Lord for His divine manifestation on some issues that ridicule and make them sad is that of depression, and frustration. People around who see them going to church, praying and being devoted would mock and pick on their inability to afford some good things, most times. In this wise, Church Gist has shared the video of a sermon delivered by Pastor Ifeoma Eze of the Abuja based ministry, Zion Heritage Ministries, on the expectations of every believer whenever they are passing through trying times. The cleric has exhorted those facing some difficult challenges not to be perturbed nor discouraged. In her words, she has consoled that, if God has allowed a believer to go through ridicule and frustrations in life, they should relax because things would turn around for good.
As shared by Church Gist, the cleric has drawn an example from her experience while still in the university. During her undergraduate years, she could not afford to eat, because of a lack of money. Her friends, together with her in the hostel would pick on her and make jest that, why would she envisage coming to the University when she knew she cannot afford money for food. But right now, God has turned the tide of life’s goodness in her favour. According to her words, most of those that eat in her house, she does not know them. Some of them are just passing by around her house and would decide to come around to eat from her. This is to show how God has turned around her situation from what she used to be, like the one that could not afford to eat in those days, to a person that can afford to feed people successfully.
The cleric has also consoled those that are being ridiculed for their childlessness and indebtedness in that, God answered the prayers of Hanna, amidst several ridicules by her partner in her husband’s house. But, when God would answer her prayers, she did not only give birth to Samuel, she later went on to give birth to wonderful children that in turn ridiculed her mockers. God would remember whosoever does not stop trusting in Him. Things might seem difficult and uncertain, as a result of the various troubles that you might be going through in life—just relax and wait on God. God will never disappoint you. If God has allowed you to go through some challenges and ridicules, they are meant to strengthen you and prepare you for testimonies that would shock your enemies. Just relax and be cheerful, God would change things for good and He will not fail you.
