Apostle Joshua Selman, the founder of Eternity Network International spoke to his members about why they need to create a system of Spiritual Growth. You need to build a system that will maintain your spiritual growth and fire.
According to Rhema Channel, he said that most of us spiritually rise up today and go down tomorrow because we are not able to sustain that spiritual momentum and it happens because everything that has to do with our spiritual life is based on our emotions. He said that if you depend on your emotions to pray, to study the bible, then it is quite sure that you won’t do it. “What is the system you have put in place for bible study, what is the system you put in place for consistent prayer?” he asked and said that anybody who tells you that prayer is comfortable and convenient lies to you because prayer has nothing to do with your emotions, you have to create a system that your emotions cannot relate with.
Speaking further, he said that you cannot be spiritually alive if you allow your emotions to define the level of your spiritual commitment. Systems are supervisors so you must create a system around your spiritual life. This is why we have so many people going to church but there is no spiritual growth because they put in emotions in everything that has to do with spiritual growth.
He said that some of you cannot pray for one hour in a day. The value of prayer is not in the timing but it is the efficiency and the fellowship and timing is a discipline that can help you. Man of God, the ministry that you run cannot function beyond your spiritual health, the days that are coming will depend on your spiritual health. He said that many homes don’t have a system for their spiritual growth or upkeep, the home has to have a system for spiritual exercise, whether it is in the morning or night or both so that anybody or visitors who come to stay with you will meet an already existing system so that nobody will come to your home and destroy because they met a system.
