Pastor David Ibiyeomie spoke about “Engaging The Covenant Power Of Wealth” at the Hour of Visitation, Shiloh 2021. He revealed that what you don’t hate you can’t conquer. If you don’t hate poverty, you can’t conquer it. If you pamper poverty, it will tamper with your destiny. Poverty is wickedness.
According to him, your success is not in the hands of God anymore. You determine it. If you are poor today, the devil is not your problem. It is God’s desire that you prosper so that you can carry out His Great Commission on the earth. Without prosperity, the gospel cannot spread. When you are poor even, you even think your dressing doesn’t fit. It is not the devil. It is your thinking. God wants you to enjoy life not endure life. He said that redemption is for you to enjoy life. God wants you to be prosperous so that you can be a blessing to others and provide for your family.
He further explained that men stay poor because they can’t trust the character of God – who God is. If God has said anything, then don’t doubt Him. It pains Him when you doubt Him; it gladdens Him when you trust Him. No matter where you are on earth, you can prosper. The richest church here on earth are all in Nigeria. “Don’t leave where you and travel to go and wash plates in the name of traveling except God told you,” he continued. If you are failing here, when you go to the UK you still fail. It is said nations do not make people. It is people that make nations. We all have equal opportunity on earth.
Finally, he said that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law and one is in poverty to enjoy the blessings of Abraham. To remain in poverty means you are saying redemption is not real. God has given us the Bible containing His principles for prosperity.
