Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry spoke to his members about, “The Pertinent Revelation Of The Redeeming Christ at Tuesday Leadership Development Service.
In one of his sub-topics, he talked about “Personal Experiential Knowledge Of Christ” and read the book of Philippians 3:10 which says, “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.”
However, this means that when we know him in that personal way, there is a power that comes from his resurrection which impacts and influences and penetrates our lives. And you must be asking yourself, “Do you have that personal experience of Christ as your Saviour, sanctifier and the one that changes your life?
Can you tell the day, the time that it happened? What did you hear that made it happen? What change and effect came out of you when that happened?
However, if you cannot remember the date, time, how, where and the transformation that happened when you professed that you met the Lord, maybe you should go back to Calvary and check or find out how and when it happened. Anytime, Paul, the Apostle spoke about his meeting the Lord, he could tell.
He said, “I was on my way to Damascus, and I wanted to lay hold of those people that went this way and called the bake of the Lord and suddenly, there was a light from heaven and I fell down and heard the voice that said, “Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me and I said, “Who are thou, Lord?” And he said, “I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.”
