If You Insult Me, It Means What I Am Doing Is Affecting You – Bishop David Oyedepo

Bishop David Oyedepo, the General Overseer of the Living Faith Church Worldwide spoke at the Covenant Hour of Prayer. The title of his sermon was “At The End, It Shall Speak” and he read from the book of Ecclesiastes 7:8 which says, “Better is the end of a matter than the beginning thereof”

According to him, some Bible Scholars claim that it was 50 days that the disciples were in the Upper Room. The days were not mentioned in the scriptures, they got it probably through their studies. But they waited, in prayers, in searching of scriptures, in Peter leading, they waited and when the day of Pentecost fully came, He met them waiting, watching for the enduement of power, and then the heavens opened and the earth was visited. “Power broke out from heaven and the effect is still here today, after 2000 years. They waited and it spoke at the end,” he said.

Speaking further, he advised them to continue rejoicing, thanking, praising, worshipping to secure God’s agenda at the end. He said that they must not be found murmuring, complaining, and requiring encouragement every night and day. He said that his wife is there, a number of people have been in the Church forever but he has never needed encouragement to do what he is doing. You are insulting me, which means what I am doing is affecting you. It is either impacting your life positively or you are looking for trouble for yourself,” he said.

Finally, he told them that You are too busy pursuing after funny things and advised them to pursue after God, and everything He says. Come on now, keep pursuing after God. He said that the pursuit after name, after fame, after status, after wealth, you will get them frustrated in no time, but the pursuit after God keeps them ever excited. Joseph was busy pursuing after God and God enthroned him far away from the Palace.
