If You Spend Every Money You Have, This is what you are doing to your future – Apostle Joshua Selman

It is very important that we practice how to save as Christians. We don’t just have to spend every money we have but we must learn how to keep a particular percentage of our income. However, Apostle Joshua Selman spoke to his members about the benefits of savings.

He revealed that when God blesses you, the first thing you do is to pay your tithe and then you remove your seed for savings. He said that many people recommend saving 20% but he told his school of ministry that they can save 20% of their income if they have time. He said that if you know that you have made mistakes and at age 40, you are saving 20% of your income, you will not go far. He said that you can tell a child to save 20% but if you really want to make progress financially, you must practice the law of increase.

He said that there are two basic reasons why we save. They are for emergencies and for investment. He said that the only way money multiplies is through investments, which is the acquisition of assets. He said that wealthy people never take on any liability and expenditure until they can show the asset that will pay for it. They spend their life acquiring the asset that pays for their liability.

Speaking further, he said that you can pray to God to open doors of favour for you and you can also practice savings. God can now open a door for you and you have abundant financial resources. “Every time you spend everything you have, know that your future is crying; every time you spend every you have, you punish your future,” he said. He advised that you practice frugality which is the absence of waste. You must be frugal in where you are starting and where you are rising, you must be frugal.
