If You Think Abraham Gave Birth To Ismael, You Are Wrong — Apostle Johnson Suleman Clarifies

— Apostle Johnson Suleman clarifies

Nigerian preacher, Apostle Johnson Suleman, founder and senior pastor of Omega Fire Ministries, has, in a live video of his Day 2 open crusade in Johannesburg, South Africa on his church’s official Facebook channel a few minutes ago, clarified that Abraham is not the father of Ismael as many people will claim or think.

According to Apostle Suleman, if you see it in your Bible that Abraham was the father of Ismael, it is wrong and not correct, Abraham never gave birth to Ismael.

He supports his claim with the portion of the Bible where God told Abraham, Take up Isaac thy son, your only son (Genesis, 22:2). He said if Abraham had been the father of Ismael, God would have not told Abraham that Isaac was his only Son.

Who is the father of Ismael?

Apostle Suleman responded that the father of Ismael was Abram and not Abraham. He explains that the impression God was trying to correct when he told Abraham, …. thy only son, was that when he gave birth to Isaac, he was Abram. And him (God) changed his name before he gave birth to Isaac.
