I know you must have heard stories of women who lived promiscuous lives when they were young, and perhaps had an abortion from someone who wasn’t qualified, which led to the damage of their reproductive system. Or maybe you’ve heard the story of a man, who also lived a terrible life in his youth, and perhaps because he was addicted to cigarette smoking, he developed a lung disease. These stories are similar in the sense that the man and the woman were at fault. They developed those problems because of their bad decisions. If you were God, would you still heal them if they ask for healing?
According to the Bible, God will deliver us from problems that are because of our bad decisions. Do you remember the story of Abraham, and how he lied to the Egyptian king that Sarah was his sister? The Egyptian king took Sarah as his wife, and that was a bad thing that happened because of Abraham’s poor choice. But God intervened and delivered Abraham. He appeared to the king in a dream, and warned him to return Sarah back to her husband.
Yes, Abraham was at fault, but God’s mercies covered his mistake, and delivered him.
The word of encouragement from God’s servant Kenneth Copeland, reiterates the same thing I’m saying. God will still heal you if your sickness is because of something you did in the past.
If you don’t believe this, Satan will use it as an opportunity to keep bringing the symptoms of that sickness upon you. He will keep reminding you that the sickness came because of your sin, and he will keep you in perpetual condemnation. Remember that Satan is a liar; if you are born again, the blood of Jesus has cleansed you from every sin, both the sins in your past and every other sin you will ever commit.
All you have to do to experience this healing is to reject the lies of Satan, and claim the truth that God has said over your life. You will also repent and stop commiting the sin that got you sick in the first place. In the story of Jesus’ healing of the man at the pool of Bethesda, he told him to go and sin no more or else something worse would come upon him. If you study the original language of that verse, Jesus meant he should stop commiting the same sin, as it was that sin that got him into that problem in the first place. Be blessed.
