In World War 1, on Christmas 1914, the British and German Soldiers dropped their weapons and played football

World war one was indeed a devastating event that even history itself cannot forget it. The war was a bloody war that led to the loss of countless of lives. Did you know that when the war was going on, there were two enemy countries that decided to observe Christmas by coming together to show love and benevolence.

When Christmas reached, the solders of Britain and Germany who were fighting against each other decided to put down their arms and they then crossed each other’s land to celebrate the gift of Christmas. They exchanged food, drinks, sang songs to each other and played ball to together. Soldiers attended the burials of their opponents.
