Pastor W.F Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church spoke to his workers in a recent meeting. In his second sub heading, he talked about “Purging The Inconsistency of Feeble Preachers” and explains 7 reasons why these leaders are weak, feeble and unable to contend for the faith which was first delivered unto the saint.
However, one of the reason he gave was “Fondness of Miracles” and he explained that some people want miracles all the time and because of that fondness for miracles, they don’t mind the true doctrines as long as miracles, signs and wonders are taking place.
He said that some people think that it is only the name of Jesus and the pure gospel that can work miracles. They do not understand that even Satan can produce some so-called miracles. He then read the book of Revelation 13:14, which says:
“And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.”
This means that we should not believe that all miracles come from God because Satan and his agents also performs miracles. Though miracles are important, we should not highly esteem it above sound doctrine just like some people do. They abandon the true doctrine because they see signs and wonders else where.
