Jesus was a person of character and actually he is the only person that is qualified to be called infallible. It was a lot of opposition and that led to his death in one of the most cruel methods ever.

Putting such a life in a film presentation was one of the greatest tasks that actor Jim Caviezel has ever had in his entire acting career. Acting the role of Jesus was such a serious task. He had to read all the gospels and cram almost the everything that christ had ever said that is written in the Bible. For those who love watching movies, you’ve probably watched several films about Christ.

Incase you don’t know the face behind the Jesus of the film The Passion for Christ, then it is none other than the famous Jim Caviezel. The American actor is an American film actor who has appeared in several other films including the CBS series called Person of interests and many other. His most iconic role is that of christ in passion for Christ.

In his role as Jesus, he had to literally experience the birth of Jesus, the early life of Jesus, the ministry of Jesus, his death and also the resurrection. It was through his acting in this particular role that shaped his true character. He did not only act the role of christ but begun living like christ himself in real life something that costed his entire acting career.

It was the role on this film that made Jim know who Christ was in a more intimate way. He started viewing life from another perspective not the way he used to in the past before the role. He begun turning down some movie roles especially that needed him to compromise in a way of those that needed him to act romantically.

He felt like he was accountable to Christ in everything he did and before he realized, he was not getting any more acting roles because of his uncompromising standards. Producers no longer wanted him because he never wanted to do anything that compromised with his faith.

For Jim Caviezel, he doesn’t really care whether or not Hollywood rejects him, he only cares that he doesn’t do anything that displeases God. Standing for Christ has been his stand ever since and that is all that matters to him.

Concerning the roles in the film, one of his most difficult scenes was the scene at the cross that has to be repeated for several weeks. Staying on the cross in direct scorching sun was such a tormenting experience for him and he could not even imagine what the real experience of Jesus was at that time.

He was struck by lightning and almost died. He had a shoulder dislocation and also suffered from pneumonia and hypothermia when he was filming some of the scenes in the film. This made him to really get to understand better the suffering of Christ while on earth.
