Kanye West Speaks Out Against Abortion: ‘Thou Shall Not Kill’

In the wake of his latest album release, award-winning rapper Kanye West has been making some powerful remarks about his Christian faith.

However, over the weekend, West got political, reeling off many reasons why he is not a fan of the Democratic party. Among other points, the rapper expressed his disdain for the Democrats’ position on abortion.

“We’re [black Americans] brainwashed out here, bro. Come on, man. This is a free man talking,” the artist told radio host Big Boy. “Democrats had us voting [for] Democrats with food stamps for years. What are you talking about? Guns in the Eighties, taking the fathers out the home, Plan B, lowering our votes, making us abort our children… Thou shall not kill.”

Elsewhere in the interview, West, who has expressed public support for Trump, revealed his frustration at “white liberals” instructing him who he should be voting for.

“Last year, y’all tried to tell me who I’m supposed to vote for because I’m black. This year, white liberals are trying to tell me who I should vote for because I’m Christian,” the rapper said. “We are in a country where we are allowed to like whatever we like. I love Jesus Christ. I love Christianity.”

But Kanye’s boldness in speaking out about his faith and expressing himself in his music has caused widespread backlash, particularly among left-leaning liberals. The biggest trigger? Kanye mentioning Chick-fil-A in one of his songs — a restaurant that is seen by some as being anti-LGBT because of its Christian history.

For Kanye, the criticism is nonsense.

“I’m the guy who said ‘stop gay-bashing,’” West said of his early campaigns against homophobia. “As soon as I said, ‘Closed on Sunday you’re my Chick-fil-A,’ there were LGBT companies that want to boycott my company.”

“People forget so quick.”

So is he worried that the controversy will be harmful to his career? Worse still, does he fear being “canceled”?

“Man, I fear and love God,” West responded. “When you remove the fear and love of God, you create the fear and love of everything else.”

“You’re talking to somebody right now that only fears God and Jesus has won the victory, bro.”

“I’ve been canceled before there was cancel culture,” West explained. “Who told you that my career would be over? The same people that are telling you that you can’t have a right to vote for who you want to.. those people will be soon taking Jesus out of the school, removing Jesus from America.”
