Apostle Johnson Suleman is the founder and presiding clergyman of the Auchi-based Omega Fire Ministry. The cleric has turned to his verified Facebook page to offer a lesson about human socialization and why believers should avoid becoming engaged with people who do not want them around. According to the priest, it is not one of the attributes of spirituality to be associated with folks who do not want you around them.
As the cleric emphasizes at 4:58 minutes into the video, staying near folks who do not want you around them is not spiritual. The cleric has also drawn instances from the life of Joseph in the Bible. God revealed details about his life to him, but he continued to associate with others who despised him. He told his nightmares to people who despised him. They eventually won and were the cause of his servitude and captivity. The preacher has also reaffirmed the act of ignorance that some believers may exhibit at times in that they are not supposed to be heavily associated with individuals who do not like them.
The cleric has also drawn lessons from the life of Jesus Christ, who did not always socialize with people. There were instances when Jesus Christ had to leave his followers without telling them where he was going. He has avoided many associations with people who dislike him. However, some believers would be aware that some people dislike them and would continue to associate with them despite the fact that they are not wanted. They would believe they are being spiritual and humble. This is not wisdom.
It would be prudent to avoid folks who do not want you most of the time in order to prevent the negative consequences of being affiliated with them.
