I feel like people forget what Christmas is all about sometimes, and I really don’t blame them. After all, why would they remember, when the whole world works hard to make us forget the point with the Santa Clauses and the special Christmas songs.
Kenneth Copeland has revealed the point of Christmas, and according to him, Christmas is about celebrating the fact that God is a covenant keeping God. He claimed that Christmas happened because God remembered his covenant with Abraham, and I totally agree.
You see, one of the clauses of the covenant God made with Abraham was that through his seed all the families of the earth will be blessed. Galatians 3:16 says;
“Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.”
Jesus was the promised seed of Abraham through whom the whole world would be blessed. Because God kept his word and sent Jesus to the world, we can rejoice as the birth of Jesus brought us all things that pertain to life and godliness.
So now that you know the main point of Christmas, please don’t celebrate in a way that shows ignorance. Celebrating with this mindset will fill your heart with gratitude and love for the Messiah, as well as total confidence in God’s ability to do exactly what he said he would do.
All you senior men of God? some times when we junior minister look at you and your compromises we feel disappointed, weak and discouraged. If someone celebrates your birth on september while you are born in january you will commend such one and even reward him? How can you senior men of god do this to Jesus Christ whom you claim to be your saviour?. Tell me sir how you are laying good legacy by this hypocricy?.
