Lockdown: Don’t compare markets with Churches, Ogun State Government tells CAN

Ogun State Government has yesterday stated that they are yet to fix a date for the reopening of worship centres following the request by the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN.

CAN had in a statement through its Special Assistant in Media and Communications to the President, (Rev Supo Ayokunle), Pastor Adebayo Oladeji , said that the continued closure of the Church is unwarranted.

According to Pastor Oladeji, with the current reopening of the economy particularly the markets alongside the plans to reopen schools and airport, has made the closure of churches at this point unacceptable. He argued that the churches are more organised than the markets and therefore the churches should be considered for reopening.
