Have you ever been in love? How did you show that you loved the person you said you loved? Was it by mere words, or did you show actions to back up your words?
Kenneth Copeland has said that in order to show your love, you must give. He said that loving and giving go hand in hand. He encouraged people to elevate their love walk to a point where they only focus on giving.
God, for example, showed that he loved us so much by giving his one and only son, Jesus Christ, to us as a sacrifice for our sins. I don’t believe that it’s too much, in view of all that God has done for us, to ask us to give our time, our talents and our money to God.
We need to come to a point, like the man of God said, where we are focused on only what we can give and not what we can receive. After all, the Bible says that it is more blessed to give than to receive.
This not only works in our relationship with God, it also works in our relationship with other people. You cannot say you love someone without showing up to give to them whenever it’s required. And you know you really love someone, when you no longer look out for yourself, but you are concerned for the well-being of the person.
Make the decision today, to prove your love by your giving actions. Be blessed.
