Apostle Joshua Selman, in an interview with him recently, when speaking on how he handles the issue of sisters, said the issue of sisters is not limited to whether you are married or not, it’s only minimised when you are married. Meaning that, marriage is not the major and ultimate solution to immoralities.
He said, the key is values and principles. The key is to be able to put values and principles on our relationship with them, despite the sincerity and the likes.
He said, the ladies don’t intentionally come to cause troubles; they’re just been ladies and they will generally want a shoulder to lean upon.
He said, there are few ladies who will intentionally get up to say I want to destroy, though there are people like that.
He said the problem is that, the Devil take advantage of the vulnerability and compassion of both the leaders and the people involved.
He said compassion can becomes dangerous, and it must be balanced with values. Values like visitation and counseling.
He stated that, not having a counseling session with a single sister alone or in the night is a typical example of the principles that can be put in place.
