The Bible describes God as omniscient. Omniscient means that he possess all knowledge. God knows what will happen before it happens; he knows the past, present and future. Isn’t it wisdom to place your life in the hands of a person who has all this power?
Matthew Ashimolowo has said that God can warn you against impending storms, and because of that, you should make choices and build your values based on the word of God to avoid becoming a prey for Satan.
I have heard testimonies of God warning people not to take certain steps, and how they were able to escape trouble because they heeded to his instructions. I remember when my father was in the university. He told me that he was in the room of a friend one night, and he heard God telling him to leave the room immediately. He told me that as soon as he left, the police came into the room and arrested everyone because there was a suspected cultist in the room. Imagine if my dad’s relationship with God was not strong, and he never heard that voice. He would have been disgraced like the others, and Satan’s wish for him would have been actualized.
The word of God contains his voice. The more you study God’s word, the more you will learn to recognize how he will speak. If you train yourself to recognize the voice of God, you will be able to obey it, and avoid troubles.
God does not speak in contradiction to his word. If you hear any voice that tells you anything contrary to what the Bible says, then it’s not God speaking because he will not want his children to be confused.
Jesus told us that his sheep will hear his voice. A child does not have to go to school, and take some courses, just to be able to know how his father’s voice sounds like. The more time the child spends with his father, the more he will be able to distinguish his father’s voice from the voice of other men. Spend more time with God, and your life will change forever.
