Meet Five Popular Christian Musicians Who Do Not Charge For Ministrations

It’s widely reported that most popular Christian musicians charge for their ministrations, something that is mostly melt with mixed feelings by the populace.

I even encountered a post few days back which talked about how much certain Christian artists charge to minister at programmes.

It is for this reason I’ve compiled a list of five popular Nigerian music ministers who do not charge for the ministrations they go to.

This information was gotten during a panel session tagged “Journey So Far” held by the Household of David under the leadership of Pastor Shola Osunmakinde where these five ministers were in attendance, so sit tight as we reveal the name of the five of them. You can find out the programme on YouTube via this link, though careful, it’s a three hour programme and the topic of this post was only discussed during the programme.

BUKOLA BEKES

Oh, she’s probably the least popular on this list and you probably don’t know her but she’s very popular amongst members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) denomination. A composer, writer, praise and worship leader whose ministrations captivates her audience, she’s one that doesn’t charge for her ministrations. She’s been the composer of several theme songs of RCCG Holy Ghost services and other national services.

“Oh Lord, set my heart on fire for you, for you,” is a popular song nationwide. NATHANIEL BASSEY

Arguably the most popular on this list, virtually every Christian knows Nathaniel Bassey. Known for many popular hits such as “Imela” “Onise Iyanu” “Alagbada Ina” “Olowogbogboro” “Wonderful Wonder” and a whole lot more, the name Nathaniel Bassey is in no way an unpopular name in Nigeria, especially in the Christian industry. He is known for spirit filled songs with a good number of them with a soft tune and of course, he’s gotten multiple recognitions internationally.

JOSHUA SELMAN

Probably not a music minister as it were, but a minister of the Word and in music as well. His popularity is never in doubt either, as he is the powerfully anointed music minister and pastor of Koinonia Network International ministry in Kaduna. He is a passionate singing preacher whose passion is to grow believers nurtured to have a personal relationship with God.

DISCLAIMER: This article has not in any way suggested that these music ministers do not receive honorariums when given to them, it says that they do not charge as a pre condition to ministration at programmes. Admittedly, as Nathaniel Bassey said at the round table event where this information was gotten, they’ve been on the receiving end of it in certain occasions where their decision not to charge has put them in situations where they were taken for granted.

Not condemning any of those who charge, Dunsin Oyekan said on behalf of them all during the same panel session, that they do not charge on basis of instructions from their personal relationship with God.
