Before we get to meet the wife of the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire Ministries, Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya whom after 18 years of childlessness gave birth to a son, let us quickly have a brief biography of Pastor Daniel Olukoya.
Daniel Olukoya whose full name is Daniel Kolawole Olukoya was given birth to on the 15th day of July, 1957. He is currently 63 years of age. He was given birth to in Akure, the capital city of Ondo State.
Daniel Olukoya’s father was a Police officer as well as a pastor at Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), while his mother was a trader who sold various goods.
At a tender age, Daniel Olukoya got enrolled by his parents at St. John’s CAC Primary School situated in Akure, Ondo State where he had his nursery and primary school education.
While at St. John’s CAC Primary School, Daniel Olukoya performed excellently well academically and was always the top of his class all through his stay in the school.
Unfortunately, he didn’t complete his primary school education at St John’s CAC Primary School, Akure reasons being that his family had relocated to Lagos State.
While in Lagos, Daniel Olukoya got enrolled at St. Jude’s Primary school which is situated at Ebute metta. He also stood out academically while in St. Jude’s Primary School excelling in flying colours.
Afterwards, Daniel Kolawole Olukoya made his way to Methodist Boys’ High School (MBHS) located at Broad Street, Lagos where he had his secondary school education.
It would interest you to know that while in Methodist Boys’ High School, Daniel Olukoya received the Lord Jesus Christ as his saviour. He became born again.
In the year 1976, Daniel Olukoya gained entry into the prestigious University of Lagos where he studied Microbiology. In the year 1980, he was done with his first degree, obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology. Not only did he graduate from the Department of Microbiology, he graduated with a first class degree.
At the completion of his university education, he won a scholarship to further his education down Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) lane.
He had a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Molecular Genetics at the well known University of Reading located in the United Kingdom.
On getting back to Nigeria, he joined the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR), Yaba. He also taught Genetics and worked as an external examiner in various universities.
He has written lots of books as well as tapes, CDs and lots more.
Pastor Daniel Olukoya is married to a beautiful lady named Shade Olukoya.
The name of Shade Olukoya’s father is Mr. George F. Adesanya. She was the fifth child of the seven children her mother bore.
Mr George Adesanya’s family were members of the Christ Apostolic Church. Shade’s father had worked with the Nigerian Ports Authority for several years as a Marine Engineer.
Shade was enrolled by her parents at Surulere Baptist School, where she had her primary school education. She afterwards proceeded to Modupe Johnson School, where she completed her primary school education.
Afterwards, Shade made her way to Reagan Memorial Baptist Girls Secondary School, Yaba, where she had her secondary school education.
She was also a student of Ajjeh Comprehensive High School wherein she graduated from.
Subsequently, Shade gained entry into the well known Darnley Career Academy located in London, United Kingdom.
While at Darnley Career Academy, Shade studied Fine Arts and Interior Decoration at the institution’s College of Arts, Fashion and Textile design.
At the end of her academic pursuit, she obtained a diploma in Fine Arts and Interior Decoration as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree respectively. Shade Olukoya is a skillful as well as talented artist.
Asides being an artist, Shade is also a talented singer who has inspired the lives of many through her songs.
At one of the programs Daniel Olukoya had attended, he came in contact with Shade. He proposed to her and she accepted.
In the year 1986, Daniel Olukoya and Shade were joined in holy matrimony. After the marriage, the couple were believing God for the fruit of the womb. They prayed and fasted fervently and in the year 2004, after 18 years of childlessness, Shade Olukoya gave birth to a baby boy.
The baby boy was named Elijah Toluwani Olukoya. He is currently 16 years old and has grown in the knowledge of God.
