Since the beginning of the world, a lot has happened that if not for the help of some people in bringing to our awareness and notice what some people had done in the past that has affected the world in both positive and negative ways, the events would have gone unnoticed and forgotten. These writers have been divinely enabled by God to bring to our notice the acts of God, from creation to the birth and ascension of Jesus Christ, even up to what would happen in the hereafter.
Some sections of the Bible are significantly devoted to historical records of how some things were done that the consequences remain till today. Some records most especially that of the life and times of Jesus Christ were records that have affected the lives of human beings, and changed the cause of existence, wonderfully since so many centuries ago. These accounts were written by various writers that were inspired by God. The role being played by historians and researchers including archaeologists cannot be lightly talked about. They have contributed significantly to the development of the world, in helping to bring to our notice some things that had happened in respect of our genealogy, our history and the various system of government over thousands of centuries ago.
In the space of time, we have had the honourable presence of two significant figures in our midst. They are drawn from the two most significant countries in the world; the United States of America, from the North American continent and Nigeria, from Africa. These two individuals are no other persons than Moses Oludele Idowu, from Nigeria, and Robert Liardon from the United States of America. We shall briefly review a few things about them and the wonderful things they have both done in the areas of personality and anachronistic study of the historiographical life and times of some men and women of God who were the forebears of the present Christianity we have today.
Robert Liardon and Moses Oludele Idowu have both been the great colossal figures of excellence that God has used valiantly to bring back old memories of the move of God through the God Generals, in the Western world and Africa. These men and women they have tagged in their various publications of them, “The God Generals”. These people were the foundation upon which the present 21st century Christianity was built. These heroes of the faith were men and women of repute that have been forgotten, over the past centuries. Their memories and indelible records of wonderful manifestation of the powerful work of God were brought to the notice of people to edify and motivate their faith in the present generation of believers.
i. Moses Oludele Idowu:
Moses Oludele Idowu is a prolific writer. He has written copiously on the biographical aspect of the life and times of the past African ministers of God who had lived some time ago in Nigeria. These men and women were the divine tools that the Lord has used for the establishment of several denominations that are indigenous and purely African. Moses Oludele Idowu is specialized majorly in the presentation of African men and women who God has used to establish religious movements that have metamorphosed into well-established denominations we know today. Although there is not much detailed information about this great writer and author Moses Oludele Idowu on the web, he has written copiously on these messengers of God to everyone’s admiration and appreciation. He is the Chairman of Divine Artillery Publications, the outfit responsible for the publications of his various works. Some of his works are listed below;

Robert Liardon was born on 14th February 1966 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States of America. He had a divine encounter with God at the early age of eight. Since then, he has moved mightily in his ministry over the years. He is the senior pastor of Embassy Church in the United States of America, with branches of his ministry in some parts of the world. He is a highly travelled evangelist. Among his several works is the best selling God Generals series. He has been able to bring to the notice of believers the past ministers of God from the Western World, who had done wonderfully in bringing the worship and services of God closer to the people, in the areas of evangelism, revival services and work of the gospel, with diverse miracles done through them. He recently visited The Dunamis International Centre on the special invitation of the Senior Pastor, Paul Eneche, on a revival service.

The God General series and the African God General series are two serial prolific works by Liardon and Idowu, that would forever be impactful in the life of believers and the new converts.
