Hello people, Now that it’s the start of a new week, it looks like my colleague’s prediction at the beginning of the month that this would be a slow month was wrong.
August seems to be racing fast to usher us into the ember months and we are here for it.
This week on the social space, many conversations were had, some were political and others were not. as usual we bring you the conversations that caught our attention during the week.
Mercy Chinwo’s wedding outfits raise debate
One conversation across the social media space this week that caught my attention was the conversation started by gospel music minister, Mercy Chinwo who wedded her husband, pastor Blessed, last weekend and gave life in all her bridal outfits while being absolutely gorgeous, modest and all covered up.
Mercy Chinwo’s modesty in her bridal outfits trended on mostly Twitter and Facebook, with many advising brides to emulate Chinwo’s modesty and cover up on their wedding day instead of the barely clad brides with boobs all out on display and long thigh slits that have become the current trend for brides.
While some were of the opinion that brides should be allowed to wear whatever makes them happy on their wedding day, many in the conversation were advocating for modesty using Mercy Chinwo as a perfect example.
Have you been to a wedding recently? from the brides to the bridal train, it is often a garish display of body parts which we would rather not see, to be honest.
As Mercy Chinwo has proven with her choice of bridal attires both for her traditional, civil and church wedding, we now know it is possible to dress modestly and look amazing while having fun on your wedding day.
