Mixed Reactions As Ugandan Pastor Celebrate Prophet T.B Joshua’s Death

Some Nigerians have angrilly reacted to a video circulating online showing a popular Ugandan pastor overtly jubilating as he announced the death of Prophet TB Joshua to his congregation.

The pastor who is the founder and General Overseer of Christian Life Church said the death of Nigerian preacher and televangelist, Temitope Balogun Joshua, alias TB Joshua would save millions of lost souls he was alleged to have misled across the world.

According to the self acclaimed Pastor crusader against fake pastors in Uganda and around the world, TB Joshua had been a false prophet who had for a long time led millions of his followers into darkness.

The news of TB Joshua’s demise came in Sunday morning. At the time Senyonga was presiding over a service at his Church located in Makerere Kavule and relayed live on

Pastor Jackson Senyonga who was seemingly jubilant, asked members of his church to shout hallelujah as he told them about the demise of the man of God, prophet TB Joshua, in the middle of the service.

He said they knew him very well not because they were related to him but as a false prophet.

He announced that it was victory for the church because he had destroyed soul and had been leading millions of other souls into ‘darkness’.

He further stated that death was a perfect punishment for Joshua because he had destroyed the lives of thousands of people through his false gospel.

“If one person can destroy a thousand lives, ten thousand live, he has a following of one million people yet he is fake. He taught these false prophets here in Uganda what to do. He lies and he fakes different things,” Senyonga was seen in the video telling his listeners.

But this did not go down well with some Nigerians as they frowned at the video. While some questioned whether the pastor himself is a true prophet, others said he was envious of the late prophet.

yorm5″ Are you a true prophet? Rejoice with those that are rejoicing and weep with them that weep. Is he reading his bible. SMH the way Christianity is going.”

@bukfran “And you’re the real one?”

@patenenmoh2 “And you are not one? It takes one fake to know another.”

@omobolaoludele “Shaking my head…the yorubas will say “oku n sunkun oku…” We all owe that debt.”

@bennysouzamedia “Envy was your problem! Let God judge! You are not in a position to play the holy spirit on people’s life!!!!!!”

@e_wills01 “Just maybe this is how Nigerian pastors are celebrating.”

Prophet TB Joshua, the founder of The Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), died in Lagos on Saturday evening shortly after concluding a programme at his Church.
