Money Given For Charity Is Also Tithe – Apostle Johnson Suleman Says

The Founder of Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleman has fired back at critics of tithes in the church. In a video he posted on his Facebook page, he said many of the critics of tithes have said that Elon Musk who is the richest man on earth is rich even though he doesn’t pay tithes. As a result, paying or not paying tithes is of no consequence to a Christian.

Furthermore, he explains that critics of tithes are of the view that if paying of tithes can make Christians rich, then all Christians who pay tithes should be among the world’s richest people.

Apostle Suleman in reaction to the critics said that people who make such statements don’t consider the money that rich people like Elon Musk and Bill Gates give to charity organisations around the world. He added that many of word’s richest people who don’t go to church, pay tithes in form of support for institutions.

He revealed that some time ago, Bill Gates donated billions of dollars to support polio eradication in Kano. He said that is worth much more than tithes of the whole church in Nigeria put together. Likewise, he informed his listeners that when Jeff Bezos came back from the space a couple of days ago he, gave two reporters 100 million dollars each.

More over, he disclosed that such humungous work of charity is their tithes. Likewise, he explains that every form of charity is tithes. Likewise, he told his listeners that everyone has what they believe him. Furthermore, he urges critics of tithes and Christianity to leave Christians to believe in Jesus. “Everyone has what they believe in. Leave people to believe in Jesus. Leave people to believe in what they believe in”, he said.

Apostle further said he is not supporting pastors exploiting their church members through tithes. He declared that tithes does not belong to the pastor, but the church. He implores every pastor to get something to do in order for them not to depend on church tithes.

Furthermore, he disclosed that he does not believe that pastors should usurp authority and spend the church money.

Apostle Suleman’s reaction is coming following barrage of criticisms on tithes by social media influencers like Daddy Freeze.

Many pastors teach that tithes is the gateway to open heaven and prosperity. Such pastors submit that those who don’t pay tithes can never be rich. They say the reason many Christians are poor is that they are not faithful in tithes.

But critics of such teachings have questioned the fact and reality of such doctrines. They say that if tithes will make people rich, how come non-tithers like Elon Musk and Bill Gates, who don’t pay tithes, are wealthy?
