“Most Of The Enemies You Have Are People You Have Helped In Life” – Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo

Did you that the Bible says the heart of man is desperately wicked? The word “desperately” gives me the chills. It is possible for someone to hate you for no reason, and work to see you fall. Meanwhile, the person working behind your back to promote your downfall, is someone you have worked hard to make relevant in life.

Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo observed that most of the enemies a man can have are people he has helped in life. This is truth.

Perhaps you don’t believe the man of God; then allow me to explain with some scriptural examples.

Do you remember Judas Iscariot? He was a disciple of Jesus Christ. We would not have known about Judas, if Jesus did not pick him to become his disciple. Jesus took Judas to the level he got to. In fact, he became the treasurer of the ministry of Jesus Christ. But then, Judas made himself an enemy by betraying Jesus to his enemies.

Do you think David was just making noise when he said this in Psalms 41:9;

“Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.”

So what do you do? Does this mean you shouldn’t be helping people because you’re scared of being stabbed in the back?

No! The Bible commands us to be good to everyone, especially people in the household of faith. It just means you should be spiritually sensitive. Train your spirit to be able to discern between who would stab you in the back, and who would remain faithful to you until the very end. Jesus’ case was different. He knew Judas would betray him, but he chose him still because he wanted the scriptures to be fulfilled. The Bible commands us to be gentle like doves, but to be wise like serpents. Don’t disobey that command. Be blessed.
