Mummy GO’s Church Setup “Holy Police” Over Influx Of Visitors, Strangers, And Journalists

Evangelist Funmilayo Adebayo the founder of the Rapture Proclaimer Evangelical Church of God (RAPEC), in the Iyana Ipaja area of Lagos State, has been one of the latest trend in the country. This is following her sermons that have given her popularity and have drawn the attention of Nigerians on social media.

According to a report on The Nation, following the trend of the Evangelist popularly known as Mummy GO, there has been an influx of visitors, journalists, and strangers to the premises of her church. These strangers are reportedly, visiting the church to see and hear her sermon for themselves, it has also been disclosed that some have gone to record videos or take pictures of the evangelist.

Due to the latest development, the church has reportedly, set up a group of church officials known as ” Holy Police”, these officials have been designated to be at different points and areas of the church. They are to monitor new faces and also to prevent noisy strangers from gaining entrance into the church. They also seized phones temporarily to delete footage of the activities of the church from people.

The Holy Police, ensure people obey the rule of ensuring there phones are off, before gaining entry into the church. The church has explained that phones are distractions to the angels of God. They have also been mandated to ensure the church’s rules and regulations are adhered to, which includes, the covering of one’s hair, prohibition of jeans and make-up.

In a recent interview, the Evangelist disclosed that some of her videos have been tampered with, as she didn’t preach some of the sermons. She disclosed that she has received death threats from other men of God, due to the controversial videos on social media. She further said guns have been pointed at her, adding that spies have as well chased her, owing to the video. She revealed that she will not back down, despite all that has been happening to her.
