My Transfer from Winners’ Chapel Adikpo to Otukpa was a wicked one, Former winners Pastors Speaks out

The Senior Pastor of Spring Of Grace Assembly, Pastor Atoju Flourish who was a former pastor with the Living Faith Church also known as Winners’ Chapel, has spoken out against his unjust transfer from Adikpo to Otukpa in Benue State.

By his post, which he made on his Facebook page, Flourish Atoju, the clergyman said, he felt sad and was taken aback by this shocking transfer, which felt to him and his wife like a demotion.

“When I was the pastor of LFC Otukpa in 2003, in three months of our ministry and stay in that church, we broke the record and created a new one.

“In three months, we grew from 45 membership to 300 plus. From 15, 000 income monthly to over 80, 000 plus.

Why did it happen that way?

“I was unjustly transferred from LFC Adikpo to Otukpa on a circumstances I deem demeaning, demoting and “wicked”. This was because after such kind of work, one should be considered for a higher placement.

“My district pastor saw the posting and protested, he was shut down by powerful people in position and was told, in their usual way, “it’s an order from “Leadership”.

“I remember holding the transfer letter in my hand and driving from Gboko to Adikpo. I cannot remember how I drove that distance without hitches.

“I got home, handed over the letter to my wife, we looked at the Church network at a glance and saw how demeaning the transfer was in our eyes. My wife wept for three days non-stop.

“On the third day and which happened to be the day I should resume, we woke up very early on the morning for prayers. I remember, we both knelt down at the both end of the bed, we held our hands together crossing the bed. Here are the words in my prayers:

‘Lord as I resume, if I meet one person there in the church, grant me the grace to make them two. If I meet an income of one naira, grant me the grace to make it two naira…’

“I packed my loads and off I zoomed.

“As soon as I arrived at the Odoba hill in Otukpa, I pulled aside, got out of the car, pull off my shoes from my feet and prayed, taking authority and having dominion in my tenure in the land. And God heard the prayers.

“The following day was Sunday, come and see the wonders of God in that service. Today I remember the many afflictions that my wife went through with me.”
