Bishop Oyedepo uncovers one sin that Christians commit that hurts them.

At their Third Pre-Shiloh Encounter Service at Faith Tabernacle, Canaanland, First (Sunday) Service, Bishop David Oyedepo, the General Overseer of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, discussed pride when he lectured on “Understanding Pathways To Sanctification.”

“Today, every hint of pride hiding in any part of anyone’s life shall be completely eradicated,” he declared. “The sin of pride is one of the horrible crimes that torments Christians.” Pride is a silent destroyer. In the kingdom, no one ever makes it through. One can appear so pious and yet be so pompous; one can appear so sweet and meek but be so proud on the inside. We are aware that only blood may enter a man’s heart.

“So by the might of God today, any type of pride hiding in the corner of anyone’s heart shall be entirely removed by the anointing,” he prayed.

He then stated, “Now, it is easy for us to realize that when someone is blessed, he has a propensity for pride, but there are other kinds of horrible pride that are as destructive as it.”

It is still pride when someone is ecstatic about their spirituality. Any form of pride is still pride. Some people take God’s testimony in their lives as if it were their own, and as a result, they stop seeing testimonies. Some people take great pride in having wisdom as a gift, like Ahitophel, who saw himself as the world’s wisdom bank. When his advice was disregarded, he went and committed suicide by hanging himself.

So, Pride shows up in too many hidden areas and nothing stops a man’s way forward like pride because whatever time pride sets in, grace steps out and when grace steps out, disgrace sets in. It is a very simple biblical equation. When you see a man’s life not moving forward as it used to, pride must have crept in. You don’t hear the sound of a serpent on a rock – it glides.

“The devil has not changed; he is still as cunning as ever today,” he concluded. Being humble can make one proud of themselves. That’s how horrible it is. Therefore, today, every area of anyone’s life where pride is rearing its ugly head will be eradicated in the name of the Lord Jesus. No devilish plot to incite pride in anyone will be successful thanks to this anointing.
