The General Overseer of Dunamis Church, Pastor Paul Enenche came under criticism for handing over #BuhariMustGo protesters to security operatives. Some felt that God is just and anybody clamoring for justice and expressing their rights, should be allowed to do that freely. Yeah, there is nothing bad speaking truth to power, but where and when it’s done matters a lot. In everything we do in life, some policies govern it.

The decision of youths to take politics to the church was uncalled-for and the church doesn’t support partisan politics. The church is well known as a house of prayer and not a house of the campaign, but these youths probably thought the house of God was a place for the jamboree. The Bible made it clear in 1 Samuel 22:15 that obedience is better than sacrifice. The law is the law, and it must be obeyed.
Recall that Jesus was furious when He discovered that the temple of God was turned into a marketplace, He made it clear that the house of God is only meant for prayers, so bringing politics to the church is nothing but a campaign taken too far, so Pastor Paul Enenche got it right by arresting those activists.
