The General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church (DLBC) – William Folorunsho Kumuyi is not known to be very social, as he keeps his personal life as private as he can. This is also reflected in his ministry, as not many people know of his assistant pastor.

For ministries like the Living Faith Church (LFC), Believers’ Love World (BLW), and so on, the senior pastor’s assistant(s) is well known by a majority in the Nigerian church, even though they are not congregants. For instance, David Oyedepo’s assistant is David Abioye, while Chris Oyakhilome’s is Tom Amenkhienan.

Even the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has a group made of 10 senior pastors (although one of them has gone to be with the Lord) of the ministry, who are called the ‘Governing Councils’ of RCCG. It is most assured that Kumuyi does have an assistant pastor, however, he is not popular like the assistants of the aforementioned ministries.

It was for this purpose that this article was written, to reveal why Kumuyi’s assistant pastor is not as popular as those of other aforementioned top ministries. Here are two reasons to that effect, they are:
1. DLBC operates an in-house type of ministry, therefore not many people know how the ministry runs or operates
Unlike other popular ministries – which are on TV and are active on social media platforms – DLBC does not reveal details of its ministerial pattern to the general public, thereby making it quite difficult to get information about what goes on within it.

The in-house pattern of ministry that DLBC operates is a result of the ministry’s low involvement in modern-day technology – especially for live-streaming special programs on streaming platforms for online viewers.
2. Kumuyi rarely talks about his assistant
Unlike other ministers of popular ministries, Kumuyi rarely talks about or gives a hint about his assistant, and this has made it quite difficult for the general public to know about his assistant pastor. This, perhaps, is how Kumuyi has decided to operate his ministry.
