Chiemerie, a brother of the late popular Igbo gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, recently explained why the late singer refused to give up her marriage to Peter Nwachukwu, her husband.
Recall that Osinachi Nwachukwu died after being admitted for some days at the National Hospital in Abuja, where it was alleged that she was being treated for throat cancer.
The Daily Post reported that friends, families, and gospel song lovers raised a cry for security agencies to investigate the matter because they claimed that Osinachi died as a result of domestic violence she suffered at the hands of her husband.
Chiemerie opined that the deceased remained in the abusive marriage because her followers were going to consider her a divorced minister; hence, her voice may not gain acceptance.
Chiemerie told journalists, “I know Osinachi very well. She is very quiet and God-fearing. She was going through all this and she refused to tell me because I would have known what to do. “
He accused the husband of the deceased of killing her slowly.
